Who says George Clooney is going to campaign for the presidential election? Well, he’s not. Despite the fact that Clooney has in fact some degrees of interest in politics, both on and off the screen, he has stated that he is never going to take a seat in the public office. The reason he puts forward is that he does not really have the right sorts of ideas that can win him the president seat. He mentioned this during the premiere of his latest thriller, “The Ides of March”, in which politics life was featured.
Moreover, George had once seen how frustrating it was to fail a campaign when his father had to come across an unsuccessful campaign in his attempt to get elected in the Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District back in the year 2004.
The 50-year-old man, who is also an Academy Award winner, also mentions that it’s still one of the most polarized times people may have seen in history. At both ends of the aisle, very smart and caring people are finding it hard to get things done, if at all.
However, Clooney has expressed that he has more interest in his current life and career path outside the political world. Laughing, he mentions that he has got a better gig, with a good life and a nice house.
Speaking of his last political thriller, Clooney produces, co-writes, directs, and stars in it. The thriller features a presidential hopeful who gets involved in a sex scandal which is very tragic. As a result, backroom deals have to be compromised and blackmail and political stabbing have their way in. Yet, the liberal Democrat also mentions that he is in fact more hopeful than what he presents in the thriller, his 5th stint in his career as a film director.
George admits that some people may think of him as cynical. Yet, he reveals that he has always been a big optimist and that he always thinks that things will work out since they are cyclical.
George is also planning to lead the bid campaign of the co-star Ryan Gosling in the thriller for the annual Sexiest Man Alive title by the People’s Magazine. According to George, the hair style that Gosling currently has will be of utmost importance if he is to win the aforementioned bid. George told people that he and Matt Damon along with Brad Pitt were going to sit the aforementioned “Ides” co-star down and they were planning to go through what the co-star was supposed to do with himself for the sake of the campaign.
